  • Screen credits include Glory Road, Fire Birds, McFarland USA – staring Kevin Costner, which was nominated for an NAACP Image Award, Bessie – starring Queen Latifah, which was nominated for an Emmy as well as an NAACP Image Award, the production draft of The Hurricane with Denzel Washington for which he won a Golden Globe, and The Mists of Avalon with Anjelica Huston
  • Awards and nominations for Best Screenplay include The Humanitas Prize, the Movieguide Libertas Award, and the Black Reel Awards, as well as the ESPY Award
  • Currently has films in development with Christian Bale, Dark Horse Entertainment, Anonymous Content, Paloma Productions, Lee Iacocca Productions, and Fox Television Studios
  • Began writing career working with Joel Silver Productions
  • BA in Art History from Columbia University; served as adjunct professor of screenwriting at Chapman University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Screenwriting at Hofstra University
