David has written for several magazines and journals, and has written many screenplays. He has worked in LA for 18+ years as a screenwriter, script-doctor, and provided film finance consulting. He is also a filmmaker, having produced and directed two short films, including his pre-visualization film for his script, OF KINGS & COWBOYS. Currently he has a number of film and TV series projects in development, including his feature film, BLUE HIGHWAY.
David is one of the pioneers of Cinematic Virtual Reality, a/k/a immersive cinema, or live-action virtual reality filmmaking. He made the first VR feature film, MansLaughter, and is now working on a much bigger VR feature film, TENGRI. In addition, David provides ongoing consulting services to individuals and companies, including studios and investors, regarding the cinematic aspects of virtual reality content
Each summer he leads/teaches the Aspen Bootcamp: Screenwriting in Aspen, CO., and throughout the year provides coaching and guidance to screenwriters, playwrights, and novelists.
