Livia Giammaria was born and raised in Paris from a Italian journalist father and a Belgium classical dancer and writer mother. At the age of 18 she moved to Rome and started working as a director on various documentaries focusing on electronic music and video art.
She received her Bachelor at Roma Tre in DAMS, she moved back to Paris and start her Master in Lettere Moderne al Università PARIS IV LA SORBONNE. A year later she start to intern at OCHA UN, and work on various video projects for fund raising after the Haiti Earthquake. She then moved to New York and to complete her studies as a director at the NEW YORK FILM ACADEMY.
It’s in NYC that she meet Gianluca Fellini and started “Blindbeat.net”, an art project of visuals and music video. She still divides her work between institutional documentary and artistic video and music projects.
